REAL INKA
SALT TOUR OF GANGS AND MORAY
MARAS :
Located west of Cusco at 3300 m.s.n.m. from there you can see the Cordillera Urubamba and the Veronica ( 5682 m) and the Chikon ( 5530 masl) Its important occupation began when the Incas of Inkario were stripped of their palaces in Qosqo and had to leave to settle in other small towns like Maras , in the town of Maras is the typical church of small-town religious architecture , in the interior of the church is saved paintings from the Cusco School .
SALINERAS DE MARAS :
located northwest of the town of Maras are constituted by about 3200 small wells with an average area of about 5 m², during the dry season wells are filled every 3 days with salt water that comes from a natural spring located in the top of wells , then the water evaporates , the salt contained in it is solidified gradually , then salt is beaten and well granulated , the salt is then bagged in plastic bags and shipped to markets in the region.
MORAY :
It is about 7 km southwest of the population of Maras , Moray is a system of concentrically terraces , built in three giant holes located at different levels , farming terraces with irrigation canals , is also said that was a center of agricultural experimentation or production of seeds in different climates , each representing one ecological terraces with a different climate to the rest .
